Brazil Win Womens World Futsal Tournament Title

Standings and Pictures inside. Brazil defeated hosts Portugal in the championship of the 2012 Mundial de Futsal Feminino, which is the current top championship futsal competition for women’s national teams in the world.

Three weeks after the males captured the FIFA Futsal World Cup in Thailand, The Brazilian women stepped up and delivered more hardware with a 3-0 victory over Portugal to win the top crown in international female futsal.

The Mundial de Futsal Feminino runs from Dec 3th through the 9th in Azemeis, Portugal is the 3rd edition of what has started to become an annual event. In what is being seen as the prelude to an eventual FIFA Womens Futsal World Cup, this tournament features some of the best womens futsal nations that play under the umbrella of FIFA.
