Vancouver Futsal League Champions Crowned

The Serbia White Eagles started and finished atop the 2011 VFA Futsal men’s winter league. through out the season Serbia had been neck in neck with rivals FC Domski for the leagues top spot. In week 7 Serbia & Domski faced off in what was to that point the game of the year finishing in a 6-6 tie. When the regular season concluded it was Serbia holding on to the top seed by goal differential.

Playoffs started with a huge upset. 7th seed VanCity United edged 2nd seed FC Domski in the final minutes to move on to the semi’s. After a two tight semi-final games it was the surprising 7th seed Vancity vs. the Serbia White Eagles in the final. Vancity started the game strong and was looking like they could finish there dream playoff run with another upset, but Serbia showed there raw skill in the final minutes and came back to claim the title with a 8-6 win!
