Vancouver Expanded Futsal programs now open for registration

The VFA is proud to announce it has aligned with Urban Soccer Centre locations to create Urban Futsal.

Urban Futsal will be able to provide the platform to continue to grow the game through access to the Urban Futsal Courts at USC locations. We are excited that we will be able to offer more futsal programming, tournaments, and leagues to the community.

When we started Vancouver Futsal in 2010 our goal was to bring futsal programming to the Lower Mainland and provide something different for both adults and youth to enjoy the game. We are excited to announce the partnership between the two groups to create Urban Futsal as we feel this will provide the best platform for all ages to enjoy futsal both as a development tool and as an outlet to the sport. Urban Futsal is dedicated to bringing futsal to the Lower Mainland, British Columbia, and Canada and will be looking to include futsal courts in future facilities at Urban Soccer Centre locations. This will be coming to life with the new location in Langley, BC set to open officially September 1st.

Our shift in focus changed a few years ago as we looked for ways to try and grow the sport in the Vancouver area through creating futsal and indoor soccer-specific courts and facilities to really make a difference with a focus on tech-based soccer training and futsal development.

Our futsal courts will be accessed and used by a multitude of user groups, with the goal of supporting the use of futsal for local player development. We hope to see all of you using the Urban Futsal courts in the near future.

2019 Winter Futsal Jamboree – Registration is open

Hosting our 10th-anniversary winter jamboree at the Richmond Olympic Oval. Held in December on Saturday, the 21st, for boys teams, and Sunday, the 22nd, for girls teams. In the past, the Vancouver Futsal Winter Jamboree has hosted 150 to 200 teams yearly. It is exciting to see Futsal becoming an integral part of youth development!

Youth Play Futsal League – Registration is open

The YPFL is a competitive youth futsal league for lower mainland teams. The YPFL mission is to promote development and help players learn and improve through competitive, fun, and consistent futsal play. Teams that join the YPFL can be on any existing soccer team, or be any group of players that want to play futsal together. The 2019-20 YPFL season will be played at the Urban Soccer Centre Langley Futsal Court.
