Three Nations Pull Out of CONCACAF Futsal Championship; Groups Rearranged

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Martinique, Guadeloupe, and French Guiana have all pulled out of next month’s CONCACAF Futsal Championship.
The competition now becomes a 13 team competition with groups being realigned.
Groups A, B, and C are all now three team groups while Group D stays the same with four teams. All matches will now be played out of the Domo Polideportivo in Guatemala City. Doors will be closed to fans but will be available to watch on CONCACAF partner networks including ONE Soccer in Canada.
Canada is in Group C and now will only play Costa Rica and Haiti as the Dominican Republic was moved to Group A after it lost two teams.
The top two teams from each group will move on to the quarter-finals. The winner of each quarter final will advance to the FIFA Futsal World Cup in Lithuania this fall. Canada kicks off its tournament on May 4th vs Haiti.
