The newly established FIFA Rules Toronto Futsal League is now open for registration for U6’s-Mens. Kickoff starts October 18th. Here are all the details.

***SEPTEMBER 28th UPDATE: Kickoff for all divisions has been pushed back to the weekend of Nov 1st due to the extended outdoor season as a result of the City of Toronto strike!

DESCRIPTION: A brand new FIFA rules league that aims to offer the best futsal competition in Ontario. The league will offer divisions from U6-Mens, pending interest. The mens division is easily the best in the country and features 1 Premier Division, that will offer the best competition in the region and a 2nd Division. Each division will feature 8 teams and will offer a promotion system. There will be $5000 in champions cash prizes including for the first time ever, a trip for the champions to compete in the US against other league champions (mens 1st div only). The best futsal players from the former Canadian Professional Futsal League and current stars of the Canadian Soccer League will battle for futsal supremacy.

DATES: November 2009-April 2010. Kickoff is the weekend of November 1st

GAMES: 16 Regular Season Games, plus playoffs

DIVISIONS: U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, Mens 1st and 2nd divisions (open to GTA)

LOCATIONS: Mens 1st Division: Seneca College (Newnham Campus) Sunday evenings from 6-10pm. Mens 2nd Division: West Humber Collegiate 10am-3pm Sundays. Youth Divisions: Danforth Tech Collegiate Saturdays from 9am-2:30pm. Practice and clinics will be available during the week

REGISTRATION: Now open. 8 Teams per division maximum will fill up quickly. U12 and U16 DEADLINE: January 4th, 2010

TEAM ENTRY: Mens Premier Division: $2000, 2nd Division (open) $1300. (max 12 per team)   All Inclusive: NO REF FEES, NO GYM FEES, FREE FUTSAL BALL PER TEAM + opportunities for private training clinics with national team players and opportunities for coaching and referee certification programs.

YOUTH: $1200 All Inclusive: Includes all gym fees, all ref fees, 1 free futsal clinic with a national team player, team ball.

INDIVIDUALS: $200 (Premier Division), $150 (2nd Division), $150 youth
