Sudbury Futsal Tournament this Novemnber

The 2nd annual Sudbury Futsal Tournament for adults and youth takes place in late November. Make sure to register now!

After a successful 1st installment that saw teams from across Ontario and Quebec compete, including eventual national champions, Toronto United, the Sudbury District Soccer Club is hosting their annual futsal competition named, Futsal For Food, on the weekend of November 25-27th at multiple venues in the capital of Northern Ontario. Registration closes November 10th. They will be taking food donations and will have a local charity food drive come in and weigh the food contributions and prizes will be awarded.

Registration is now open for both girls and boys divisions , men’s, women’s, as well as co-ed divisions for adult and youth.

The tournament will take place on the weekend of the November 25-27th and will feature seven divisions of eight teams in each division. Cash prizes will be made available to top finishers and will be an excellent time for any futsal team like it was last season.

Futsal Sudbury President and Futsal Canada member Mike Graham is excited at the prospect of hosting the first tournament in the city.

“We have grown the league very nicely over the years and know we will show everyone that comes to Sudbury a great time and event. We already have confirmations from across Ontario and with registration ending on November 1st we anticipate a solid turnout.”
