Strange Pullouts allow St. Kitts and Nevis to advance to the CONCACAF Championship Tournament

The Caribbean Futsal Tournament that was to determine one of the final two entries into the CONCACAF Futsal Championships has been disbanded after a series of late pullouts and one team will benefit significantly from it.
CONCACAF announced on their website this week that Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, Dominican Republic and Guyana all withdrew from the Caribbean competition that was also slated to take place next weekend in Havana. The tournament would have included four-time CONCACAF runners-up Cuba, which had already been guaranteed a spot into the final eight-team continental competition. No reasons were given for the late pullouts. St. Kitts and Nevis will now automatically get prepared for the competition, hoping to make their 1st ever FIFA World Cup at any competition. The final spot will, of course, be contested in a two-legged series between Canada and El Salvador.
The top four teams from the CONCACAF Championships will secure a spot into the 2012 FIFA Futsal World Cup that takes place in Thailand this November.
