Penalty Becomes the Official Ball Provider of Futsal Canada

You’ll notice that the front page of our site has a brand new featured ball and and a cool new video. Well, Futsal Canada is very proud to announce that Penalty, the most recognized and respected futsal brand in the world, is now the official ball provider to Futsal Canada.

The landmark deal was signed last week to coincide with the start of the futsal season across the country.

The signature ball in the Brazilian company’s arsenal is the Penalty Max 1000 (seen below). The incredibly unique 8 panel near-perfect sphere is the official match ball of both, the Brazilian and Spanish professional futsal leagues and is widely regarded across the world as the best futsal ball on the planet. Penalty will now also add the Toronto Futsal League to its roster of high quality leagues as the Max 1000 will be the only ball used during matches of the TFL this season.

Head Coach of the elite Toronto Impact Futsal Club, Lorenzo Redwood, was thrilled at having the Max 1000 as the new official match ball.

Every player in the league is going to love playing with this gem.” said Redwood, who has won more hardware than any other Canadian futsal coach over the last two seasons including the 2010 OSA Futsal Cup Championship with the Toronto Impact U16 Girls squad as well as winning titles in both the U16 girls and Mens divisions at the 2010 Toronto Invitational Futsal Tournament.

The ball will be officially unvelied at the opening weekend of the TFL season and teams will get a chance to experience first hand on the court what an international quality ball is about. Youth players in the league will also get the chance to play with the Penalty Max 200 series, which is sized and suited perfectly for young players to develop their ball control and passing skills as they progress to maximizing their potential.
