2011 OSA Futsal Cup Dates Announced

The Ontario Soccer Association has announced their dates for their 2011 OSA Futsal Cup.

The U16 girls and boys divisions will be held at the University of Carleton in Ottawa over the February 12/13th weekend. The mens and womens competitions will be held at the phenomenal triple-gym facility at Durham College in Oshawa on February 25/26th and the same venue will also host the U13 and U14 divisions over March 4/5th.

This will be the first time that the championship will be hosted over three different weekends but also showcases the most divisions offered in one year. Durham Region Soccer Association will be launching their new league in January so hosting the provincial championships in their inaugural year will surely generate top futsal squads from across the GTA in addition to the rest of the province.

8 teams will be selected for each division and will play 3 games before going to the knockout stages.

Last years champions were all from North York; North York Hearts Azzurri (U16 Girls), Toronto Boca Juniors (mens), and of course the 1st team to ever win an OSA Futsal Cup with boys and girls on the same team, North York El Salvador (U14 boys).
