Netherlands selected to host UEFA Futsal Euro 2022
For the first time since 1989 when they hosted the inaugural FIFA Futsal World Championship, the Netherlands have been selected to host UEFA Futsal Euro 2022.
The 16 team competition will be held in the cities of Amsterdam and Groningen from January 19th – February 6th. Qualifying will commence on January 2020 and run through October 2021 where 15 spots will be up for grabs. The 12,000 capacity Ziggo Dome will be the venue in Amsterdam while the MartiniPlaza will host matches in Gronigen.
The last edition was held in 2018 in Slovenia. Portugal are defending European Champions.
