Thursday December 10th is the deadline for submitting your registration form, see link below, for the elite Toronto Invitational Futsal Tournament that is taking place at the Direct Energy Centre on the January 22-24th weekend.

Registration forms from all teams will be accepted although first priority will be given to Canadian and American futsal teams that have won a city, state/provincial, and/or national championship within the last 2 seasons.

The tournament, brought to you by Setanta Sports (Canada) will be taking place in the middle of the Toronto International Soccer Show and will be held on 2 beautiful FIFA international-sized blue futsal surfaces from Sport Court. Adidas is the official ball provider of the tournament.

In keeping with the spirit of offering the best venue, surface, and ball for the tournament, only top futsal referees will be selected from across the province in addition to the only 2 referees from the United States that officiated at the 2008 CONCACAF Futsal Championships, one of which was appointed by FIFA to referee at last year’s FIFA Futsal World in Brazil. Teams from London, Ottawa, New Jersey, Cleveland, Toronto, Philadelphia, New York, and Alberta among others plan on taking titles at the U16, U18 (boys and girls divisions) and mens divisions. The mens champs will walk away with a cool $3000 prize in addition to bragging rights.

Once teams have submitted their entry form (click here for the form) they will be informed by the TIFT Committee by no later than Friday December 11th if they have been accepted to compete. Payment will then be due, via Masterdcard, VISA, or certified cheque, by Thursday December 17th so that logistical preparations can start immediately after. The tournament entry fee is $400 CAN ($375US) and includes a 4 game guarantee for the youth divisions and a 3 games for the mens. There will be 3 FIFA certified officials at every match. Teams flying in from the US will have transportation from Buffalo International Airport into Toronto taken care of to keep costs low. Every team will receive complimentary shuttle service from the host hotel to the venue all weekend and breakfast is also provided to all teams.
