Familiar Futsal faces named to Canadian Beach Soccer squad

Canadian National Futsal and Beach Soccer Head Coach Kyt Selaidopolous has named his roster for the upcoming 2017 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championships in the Bahamas and it features many players from the futsal team.
Canada will play three matches in Group B which also incudes Mexico, Guadeloupe, and Barbados, the latter that will be the first test for the Reds on Monday February 20th at the Malcom Beach Soccer Facility in Nassau. The two nations that reach the final will qualify for the 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup which also takes place in the Bahamas in April. As the Bahamas already qualify as the host nation for that event the two nations that reach the final will qualify for the World Cup. If the Bahamas reach the championship match then the 3rd place match winner will earn the second spot into the World Cup.
Six of the eleven players on the Beach Soccer roster were also on the Canadian team that competed at the 2016 CONCACAF Futsal Championships in Costa Rica. Three of the six come from the Milwaukee Wave Arena Soccer Club including current MASL leading goal scorer Ian Bennett, defender Daniel Chamale, and Laval’s Robert Renaud.
