Former Futsal Canada Youth Player Jade Rose Wins Canada Youth Player of the Year

For the 2nd straight year, Markham, Ontario native Jade Rose has won the 2021 Canada Soccer Youth Soccer Player of the Year Award after a series of excellent performances for Canada and at Harvard.

The former Futsal Canada Youth Teams star had another fantastic year and made her senior international debut at the begining of the year at the SheBelieves Cup, including appearances against Argentina and Brazil.

Her first season at Harvard University say Rose earn First Team All-Ivy as well as First Team All-East Region honours. The centreback scored a pair of goals during the season and finished with the second most minutes played on the team.

Better than her performances on the pitch is her humble nature and team oriented approach. At only 18 years of age she is very well positioned to add more accolades to an already fantastic career.

FUN FACT: Her sister Nyah is also a former Futsal Canada Youth Teams player and is now on the U17 Canadian Women’s National Team.
