Dušan Jakica Named Head Coach of US National Futsal Team
Dušan Jakica has been named the head coach of the US National Futsal Team replacing long standing head coach, and friend of Futsal Canada, Keith Tozer. Joining Jakica will be Pablo Da Silva as assistant coach and Otto Orf as goalkeeper coach.
With over twenty years of experience both as a futsal player and coach, Jakica is seen by many as a proactive hire for a US National Futsal Team gearing up for World Cup Qualifying in 2020. Though Jakica has only been living in the United States for under 5 years, the Serbian native has proven to be quite the formidable coach working primarily out of Minnesota.
Next on The US National Futsal Team agenda for 2019 will be a series of friendlies before, the yet to be announced, Futsal World Cup 2020 qualifiers begin sometime in the spring of 2020.
