Concacaf Futsal Championships Dates and Teams Set

The 2024 Concacaf Futsal Championship will take place from April 13-20th in Managua, Nicaragua. The venue for the tournament will be the impressive Polideportivo Alexis Arguello.

12 nations have been confirmed for the tournament including Canada. The format will feature three groups of four teams. The top two in each group along with the two best third place finishers will advance to the quarter-finals. All four semi-finalists will book a ticket to the FIFA Futsal World Cup Uzbekistan 2024.

Concacaf will host the official draw for the tournament in Miami on Thursday December 14th at 11am EST (8am PST). Fans can watch live for free on Concacaf.com and also on their social media platforms.

The 12 teams that will compete are: Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Haiti, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and the United States.

Canada will have an opportunity to make it to their first FIFA Futsal World Cup since the inaugural competition in 1989. This will be Canadian Futsal National Team Head Coach, Kyt Selaidopoulos’, third attempt at qualifying for the World Cup.

The Canadian Soccer Futsal Championships is also scheduled for the same weekend meaning no national team players will be at the national club competition.

Costa Rica is the current three-time defending champion, having won the previous edition by a 3-2 score against the United States.
