After a career year which saw him win every award available, Futsal Canada is very pleased to name Loïc Kwemi as the 2022 Canadian Futsal Male Futsal Player Of The Year.

The 25 year old constantly provided superb performances throughout the season that saw him lead Sporting Montréal Futsal Club to another provincial title as well as their 2nd national championship.

Kwemi finished as the PLFQ’s leading scorer (all matches included) with an outstanding 20 goals scored from 13 matches, one of only three players to hit the 20 goal mark. His potent scoring abilities also landed him another major honour when he was named the league’s most valuable player.

The Cameroon-born forward’s finest performance came in the provincial championship match vs FC Sparte where he put in a sensational man of the match performance, scoring a hat trick in a 7-6 victory now considered an all time classic.

His dominant play throughout at the club level was rewarded with his first call up to the men’s national team camp in December. It is widely expected he will be continued to be called upon in the lead up to the 2024 CONCACAF Futsal Championships.
