Canada successful on Costa Rica trip

The Canadian men’s national futsal team traveled to Costa Rica for four games last week. Here are the results of the matches.
The team finished their week long trip that saw them train and play a total of four matches at the ScotiaBank Arena in preparations for the 2020 CONCACAF Futsal Championships, which will be held in Guatemala from May 1-10.
The team opened up with a pair of wins against Costa Rican club sides, San Francisco (5-3) and Esparza (4-1).
The team then showcased their progress against the by defeating the Ticos who are two time defending CONCACAF champions with a 2-1 win with goals scored by Nazim Belguendouz and Mohamed Farsi.
The second match against the hosts resulted in a 2-2 draw, with both Canadian goals being credited as own goals.
The final camp will take place in mid-March in Quebec where the final roster for the continental championship will be selected.
