Calgary to host Canada Soccer Futsal Nationals in April, new women’s tournament added.
Western Canada will finally host Canada Soccer’s Futsal Championship as the tournamaent is slate to take place from April 13-16th at the 7 Chiefs Sportsplex in Calgary, Alberta.
The expansion of the competition away from Ontario and Quebec is only topped by the addition of a long overdue women’s tournament. This is very welcome news to the Canadian futsal community and will hopefully lead to the creation of a women’s national futsal team.
The tournament will be led by CUSA (Calgary United Soccer Association) in conjunction with Tourism Calgary.
