BC Futsal Championships Postponed

A bit of sad news today as the BC Soccer Association announced that the 2010 BC Futsal Championships were officially postponed due to a lack of registrations for the event.

The event was to be held in Prince George over the January 9-10th weekend and was to be the 5th installment of the popular competition for U14 and U16 for girls and boys. After a highly successful tournament earlier this year in the brilliant Richmond Olympic Oval, there was much anticipation for the 2010 edition and the BCSA is confident that they will be able to host the event sometime after the upcoming Vancouver Winter Olympics are finished. Facilities around lower-mainland BC were very difficult to secure with the Games taking first priority and with Prince George being a considerable distance away, for many a 8-9 hour drive, teams weren’t able to make the trek.
