2020 Bob Rathwell Memorial Tournament Registration now open

The largest futsal tournament in the country is now open for registration. Ottawa Futsal Club will host the 2020 Bob Rathwell Memorial Tournament on two weekend for women’s, men’s, and youth teams.

Your team is invited to participate in the Bob Rathwell Memorial Futsal Tournament to be held in Ottawa during January, and run by the Ottawa Futsal Club (OFC). The Tournament is also staged to give participating teams a warm up tournament to the Ontario Futsal Cups.

The tournament has gotten so large that this year it will be divided into two weekends:

Open to North American teams U13-U21, Men’s and Women’s teams

Age Groups: The Tournament is open to Youth Teams (Boys and Girls) registered in Age Categories between U13 and U21, Open Men’s and Open Women’s.

Classification: The Tournament is open to all Competitive and Recreational Teams currently registered with their District/Provincial/State Soccer Association. All teams must be registered with their Association and play in a sanctioned indoor league in the 2019/2020 season.

Game Format:

Men (division 2 and lower), Women and Youth Divisions:

Twenty-five (25) minute games, refereed, 5v5. Minimum three games and playoffs.

Men Premier (Cash Prize): $1500

Forty (40) minutes for Premier, double elimination, two referees (as available). All game equipment supplied by OFC.

Acceptance Criteria

Teams are accepted on a first come basis. Guaranteed early registration is recommended by December 30, 2019. Teams not accepted into the Tournament will be notified by email.

Out-of-District Teams must obtain an approved Travel Permit from their home Association authorizing the Team to participate in the Tournament. All Teams must be registered in the appropriate Tournament class. All players must provide current and validated player registration books or District Photo ID.
