The Quebec Futsal Cup, hosted by the QSF, finished up a great weekend of futsal in La Belle Province on February 27-28th in St. Hyacinthe.
After a grueling series of matches throughout the quarter-final and semi final stages the women's championship match was contested by Extreme ADR and Kodiak de Charlesbourg. As expected, both squads did not hold back and left everything they had left on the court but it was Kodiak that emerged as champions to bring the cup back home to Quebec City.
On the men's side, a pair of very competitive semi-final matches saw Chaudière-ouest edge out Tika Taka while FC Sparte lost out to familiar rivals Albiceleste. The Saturday afternoon final was a tough affair between the two very strong clubs but the experience and heart of Albiceleste would prevail as the blue and white held on for the victory.
Next up is the PLFQ Finals which take place on the weekend of March 11-13th in Trois-Rivières and feature a battle between FC Sparte and the Rapides of Chaudière-ouest. The women's side will feature the big rematch between Extreme ADR and Charlesbourg who will look to win the season double.
